- No heat: check the thermostat batteries, the furnace switch (looks like a light switch near the unit), and the breaker. Open sink cabinets on exterior walls to protect pipes.
- Gas smell: do not flip switches. Get everyone out, call the gas utility from outside, then call us.
- CO alarm: get everyone outside into fresh air and call 911 first. We handle the equipment after the fire department clears the home.
- Frozen AC or water at the furnace: shut the system off at the thermostat. Running it makes both problems worse.

What counts as an HVAC emergency?
No heat when it is freezing, no cooling during dangerous heat for vulnerable people, gas smells, carbon monoxide alarms, and water pouring from equipment. If you smell gas, leave the house first and call the utility, then call us.
Do emergency calls cost more?
After-hours calls carry an after-hours rate, and we tell you the number on the phone before anyone rolls. You decide with the price in front of you, at the door there are no surprises.
