What HVAC work actually costs here

Most contractors keep pricing a mystery until they are standing in your kitchen. We would rather you understand what drives the number before anyone visits, even if you end up hiring someone else.

Why we publish factors, not flat prices

Two identical furnaces can cost meaningfully different amounts to install in two different Menasha basements. Anyone quoting a firm number sight-unseen is either padding it heavily or planning to revise it at your door. What we can do honestly is show you the levers that move the price.

Repairs

Repair pricing comes down to three things:

Furnace and AC replacement

Equipment tier

The spread between a base single-stage furnace and a top modulating one, or between a builder-grade AC and a variable-speed system, is thousands of dollars. Higher tiers buy comfort and efficiency, and we will tell you plainly when the cheaper tier is the smarter buy for your house and how long you plan to stay in it.

Install complexity

Venting changes for high-efficiency equipment, electrical upgrades, duct transitions, condensate routing, and code items all add real labor and materials. Fox Valley basements built in 1925 cost more to fit than ones built in 2015.

Rebates

Focus on Energy rebates and federal tax credits for qualifying high-efficiency equipment can move the net price significantly. We walk you through what your chosen equipment qualifies for as part of every quote.

Boilers

Boiler work runs higher than furnace work because the systems are more complex and fewer techs can do it right. Piping condition, zone count, and whether the system needs cleaning or corrections drive the range. A proper quote requires eyes on the system, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Financing

We offer financing through GreenSky. If a replacement makes more sense than another repair but the timing is bad, ask about it when you get your quote. We will walk you through the current options and what the payments look like before you commit to anything.

Questions to ask any contractor, including us

Any contractor worth hiring answers those without flinching. That is the standard we hold ourselves to on every Fox Valley quote.
